The Indian sand boa is considered by most sand boa breeders to be one of the nicest sand boas around and they are probably 3rd on the 'popularity' of sand boas.
Indian sand boas ough scales have small litters, typically 4-10 babies in each. Babies are born red with black stripes. As the snakes age, the stripes fade and the orange becomes brown. There are a few lines that retain the orange (Rick Staub's Sunset line is gorgeous) however.

We cut WAY back on our stock in '06. Indians are very rare. You'd think that'd make them in high demand but we produced only a trio in '06 and they took over a month to sell. Also, the litters are so small, usually only 2-6 (probably because the babies come out the size of yearling sand boas, they're HUGE!)

ISB-F-3
This is our latest female. We actually got her as a pair with ISB-M-2 below, also from Scott Miller, an excellent breeder out of Illinois. She is proven and just had 6 babies in August so there's no reason we shouldn't have some little johniis running around next year!

ISB-M-2
We got this proven male from Scott Miller as well. He proved out in '06 for us with the above female so we're going with the same pair.
